Mark Leo Vankomen Obituary - Salt Lake City Utah - Inspired Funeral Home

In Loving Memory of: Mark Leo Vankomen

Mark Leo Vankomen, 59, passed away peacefully at home in Salt Lake City on August 16,2025 from complication of multiple heath issues.


Mark was born on May 8, 1966, in Salt Lake City to Adrienne Eubanks Vankomen and Leo Powell Vankomen.


Mark was an avid football fan of the Utah Utes and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved his days as a Tow Truck driver after the beloved VanKomen’s Deli closed. His last career was a long-haul truck driver going coast to coast with his loved companions Scooby and Choco. His final wish to become a grandpa was fulfilled with the birth of his Granddaughter Violet Markie who he got to spend time with before his passing.


Mark is survived by his daughter Rylee Vankomen, Granddaughter Violet Markie, Brother Luke Vankomen.


Proceeded in death by his mom and dad. His cousins Frank and Bill. His best friend Scooby.


There will be a celebration of life to be determined. It will be posted on Rylee
