August 1, 1938 - November 29 ,2024
Myron passed away peacefully on November 29th 2024 with his sweet wife of 45 years laying right by his side. Myron was born to John Mathew Bird and Evalu Tella Bird in Salina Utah. He graduated from high school in Sevier County and then went right to the big city to live his life to the fullest. Myron had a big personality. He loved to make people smile and laugh. Anytime he could crack a joke he would and he knew how to make you feel like you were his best friend even if you just met him.
Myron absolutely loved the outdoors and anything to do with a horse. He started riding at the age of 6 and rode until he was 85. Myron started competing in team penning and team sorting at the age of 60 and inspired so many people to go for what they want in life and reminded them to not let age stop you from living your best life. He was part of the National team penning Championships, Utah ranch sorting associations and many more. He absolutely loved the cowboy way of life.
Myron loved his family and friends. He loved to share his experiences with people through the power of a good story. Myron had the gift of gab and he could remember things so vividly and accurately. It was a joy to listen to all he had experienced in his 86 years of living. He loved hunting, fishing, riding, talking, inspiring and doing things to the fullest. He never let fear run his life. He flourished in life even when he was experiencing hardship he would just say “ It’s a long way from my heart” and he would push through. Myron had a magical spirit and anyone that really knew him loved him dearly. His Positivity and light heartedness will surely be missed.
Myron is survived by his dear sweet wife, Pamela Bird and his children : Mike Wanner ( Radene) , Todd Bird (Chris) , Jack Bird (Karen), Kirk Bird (Lesa), Danny Seethaler (Tara), Cameo Haag (Jeff) and so many beautiful Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings, his son Alan Wanner and his grandson Brett Wanner.
There will be a celebration of life in the spring for Myron and then we will have the men get on horseback and take him to his final resting place. Thank you Dad for being so amazing in this life and teaching us all so much. You will truly be missed. I know that you are up there in heaven riding horses with God and telling him about all the great things you experienced here on earth.
We love you so much!
