Delores Mae Nicholson Cooper, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024 at her home in Taylorsville, Utah. She was born on July 20, 1934 in Silverton, Oregon to Edgar Ellis and Lela Belle Nicholson. She had a wonderful childhood growing up in Scott's Mills Oregon with her two beloved sisters, Janice and Eileen.
She had a love and amazing skill for crafting things through scrapbooking as well as crocheting. She loved little children and spent her life teaching and supporting them. She worked as a preschool teacher for more than 20 years. She loved spending time with all of her family and was always looking to serve others in her loving, selfless and caring way. She was an Angel on earth who blessed all who knew her. Her kind heart and sweet spirit impacted many people for good and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sisters Janice (Tom) Wareham and Eileen (Dick) Holmes, her daughter Christi (Lynn) Cheney, grandchildren Jeremy, Daniel, Amanda, Joshua, Wendi, Emilie, Laura, and Jacob. Her nieces Lisa and Joni and her nephew John, 5 grandnieces and nephews, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her great granddaughter Celeste Anne Cheney.
A Funeral will be held Friday January 3rd at the LDS chapel, Westbrooke 4th ward building 6364 S. 3200 W. Taylorsville Utah. Viewing to be held from 2:30-3:15 pm, funeral to begin at 3:30 pm.
