Amber Elise Bloomquist Pederson passed away on November 3, 2024, in her home in Draper, Utah with complications from liver failure. She was born on November 28, 1974 (Thanksgiving Day) to Gaye Shiner and Vaughn Knadle, later to be adopted by Grant Bloomquist when her mom remarried. In 1997, she moved to Denver, Colorado where she met her husband Chris Pederson. They were married on June 28, 2014, and lived together in Denver until Amber moved back to Utah in 2023.
Amber was a bright spirit with a deep concern for the feelings of others and an empathetic heart. She was compelled to make everyone smile, listen, and connect when they couldn’t. Forever the student, she loved learning about people and through people. Amber was incredibly beautiful inside and out the most kind, caring, and loving person you could know. Amber expressed herself through art, crafting, and dancing. She was a captivating dancer, a surrealist with her art, and a playful creative with her crafts. She was an optimist and always brought out the best in everyone who got to know her. Often accused of smart-assery, her sarcasm and wit illuminated her intelligence. She drew many laughs from those around her. Her laugh elevated the mood, so beautiful and distinct that people could recognize her unseen from across a crowded and noisy room. She dreamt of traveling the world. Now her spirit can travel the universe. Amber lives on in so many hearts. We love you always Amber.
She is survived by her husband Chris Pederson, her siblings Brittney Bloomquist Whetman and Kevin Bloomquist, and her mother Gaye Shiner Davis.
It was Amber’s wish to be cremated and to have her ashes spread in places of significance to her. There will be a celebration of life in Utah in the coming weeks (details TBA here when available) and in Colorado in the spring when we can do it outdoors. Her favorite smell was the fresh air of the Colorado mountains.
